Video

The component sends a video to the user.

On Telegram

Insert a link to a video in mp4 format to the component. The link must necessarily end with the format name.

In the target platform, specify Telegram.

The maximum file size is 20 MB.

Example of a link:

https://ia600701.us.archive.org/26/items/SampleVideo1280x7205mb/SampleVideo_1280x720_5mb.mp4
You can also use a video pre-uploaded to a public Telegram channel. To do this, copy the link to the message from the video and paste it into the Video component.

Example of a link:

https://t.me/c/123456789/15

In this case, the video size can be as large as 2 GB.

Video settings for Telegram:

  • Protect the content — it will not allow you to forward the video.
  • Hide with the spoiler — the video comes with the spoiler and opens after the user clicks on it.
  • Show the caption above the media file — the caption will be above the video. Without a checkbox, the caption comes below the image.
  • Unique identifier of the message effect — the animated effect you selected will come along with the video. You can select this effect from the drop-down list or manually register it as a numeric code.

On Viber

You can use the same link as for Telegram. But if you use a link from Telegram channel, the video will open on a new page.

To play a video on Viber, you need to use an mp4 link or generate a link from Google Drive, as described in the next section.

Specify the file size in bytes. You can find it out by looking at the video properties.

Insert a link to a video in mp4 format or a link from Google Drive into the component. The link must necessarily end with the format name.

In the target platform, specify Viber.

The maximum file size is 20 MB.

Sending Video from Google Drive to Telegram and Viber

This method is useful if you need to send a video uploaded to Google Drive to the user.

Open access to the file uploaded to Google Drive in the settings of the file itself.

You will get the following link:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U0JVTDc8-SQFRajMybS7UobVAlsuKc-W/edit

If we insert it into component Video, the video opens on a new page when clicked. You can download it from this page, but this is an unnecessary action, and the link opens on the Google page. We also need to make a direct link, bypassing Google Drive.

In our link, this part is the file identifier:

1U0JVTDc8-SQFRajMybS7UobVAlsuKc-W

We copy it and paste it into the following template:

https://docs.google.com/uc?id=file identifier

We get a direct link to our file:

https://docs.google.com/uc?id=1U0JVTDc8-SQFRajMybS7UobVAlsuKc-W

When you click on the link above, we get a redirect to the unpacked link to the file. It is better not to use such a link, because it is temporary:

You can use any other service for storing files and use direct links to upload videos to the bot. We are not responsible for the correct operation of these services.
To send a video to Telegram and Viber, you need a direct download link. To do this, use any service that will give a direct link to download in mp4 format.

On Facebook

You can insert a link to a video from any resource, then a link to the source will come. For some resources, a preview comes.

If you want to watch the video in the dialog, you need to insert a link to the video uploaded to Facebook.
